Rocksaurus

Rocksaurus is a dinosaur band: the lead singer is Paris the Parasaurolophus, the guitarist is baby T. rex Rory with his little arms, the bassist is Tiki Taka, the keyboardist is Steggy the Stegosaurus, and the drummer is long-necked Lulu. Open the web page and you can watch their 3D short films, no download and no sign-up needed.

Each short is a little scene: the band playing on stage, or hanging out after work at a cafe, an office or a football field — even the everyday grind of being woken up at 3am to fix an expired certificate. The visuals are 3D made with three.js, the sound is synthesized live, and one click plays it with sound.

Each episode is rendered from a fixed timeline, so the same episode plays out exactly the same every time — which means the author can record it straight to video and post it on YouTube. The channel already has 17 shorts, and there is a watch-only page for phones too.

One thing to be clear about: the public web page is only for watching. The actual workbench for making the films runs on the author's own computer; ordinary viewers just need to open the page and watch, nothing to install.
