Just One
Dump your whole to-do list once. Every morning it shows you just one thing, why it's that one, and three buttons: Done, Make it smaller, Not today.
Project intro
Just One is for anyone whose to-do list has grown into a wall of forty items that never gets touched. You dump everything on your mind into one messy paragraph, once, and the app shows you just one thing each morning: a single yellow sticky note with today's task, one line saying why it's that one, and three buttons.
The three buttons are the whole interaction. Done peels the note off and tells you to stop for the day. Make it smaller turns a daunting task into a first step under five minutes. Not today is allowed without a guilt trip, but the skipped task comes back a little heavier tomorrow, so the things you keep dodging float to the top instead of sinking.
The clever part is that the phone itself does the sorting, and your list never leaves it. A small on-device model turns your paragraph into tasks, but plain code you can read decides the ranking: overdue items, deadlines, someone waiting on you, and what skipping costs. The same list always gives the same pick, and every pick comes with a reason you can check. The project is open source and has no GitHub stars yet.
Honest limits: this is a one-day hackathon build, so it is deliberately small — one screen, one note, no accounts, no server, no syncing between devices. The on-device model downloads about 1.5 GB the first time, so use Wi-Fi; if your device has no WebGPU, a no-AI mode turns each line into a task and still reads the deadlines.
