Project intro

O'BLOCK is a free game on Steam that its author did not code — he directed. "I did not type the Rust. An AI coding agent (Claude Code) wrote about 40,000 lines in 54 files over 26 numbered rounds of my notes plus a release push, starting September 15. I designed it, played it, wrote the feedback, and said no a lot." The TL;DR: "An AI coding agent wrote every line of its Rust, including a Wall Street finance layer it built in a single round."

The game itself is a sneaker-hustle-to-tycoon arc: haggle over sneakers on the block in tense negotiation duels, then climb into a tycoon empire with a live economy — banks, shorting, and market swings. It runs on the author's own Rust engine, "Proof Engine". Before launch, the author stress-tested it with 37,800 bot matches as a balance harness. Steam's official AI-content disclosure reads: "AI was used in development. The game's code, in-game writing and store text were written with an AI assistant and reviewed and edited by the developer."

The game is free on Steam (4GB standard / 30GB lossless-soundtrack builds), released 2026-10-20. Note the tone: the dealing, bribes, and bank runs are satire inside the game's fiction, flagged with mature-content disclosure — there's no real-world wrongdoing guide here.
