Tellie
A Mac teleprompter that follows the words you actually say — built in 3 days by a non-programmer, Claude wrote every line of code.
Project intro
Tellie is a Mac teleprompter that listens — it follows the words you actually say, so you can pause, skip, or improvise without losing your place. Its author Steve Chazin (former Apple executive) is not a programmer: he built it in three days, entirely by talking to an AI agent, while visiting his granddaughter in Vermont. "I had the idea, the taste, the customer wishes (because I was the customer), and a Mac. Claude wrote every line of code and I brought every idea." The app is a real, shipping product, not a demo: voice-follow scrolling in roughly 50 languages, all processed on-device, no account and no telemetry, in a 3MB Mac app. It stays invisible while you record, tracks the key points you haven't said yet, warns when you're running long, and debriefs your take. Pricing is free for early adopters with a $29 Pro tier. It is also actively maintained: Tellie Prompter 1.5 launched on Product Hunt about three days before this draft, and Chazin's essay series documents the ongoing 1.7 feature work (a headline feature built from an emailed idea by a theater director in Germany). Chazin's glossary even defines Vibe Coding as "exactly how I built Tellie, my Mac teleprompter, in three days without writing a single line of Swift myself."
