Project intro

Underbloom is a top-down horror action game with a body-horror twist: you are a Glim, a small jelly with a glowing heart, and every creature in the Underbloom is a bag of parts you can steal. Raid a nest, tear the legs off its guards, graft them on, and you walk like them — take a toad's spitting head and you spit. Runs in the browser on WebGL. Author Mo documented the build in the game's devlog ("How Underbloom's creatures are built"): "The code was written with Claude Code, stage by stage, against a live Unity Editor: every stage had a spec, a test pass and a report, and Mohammed accepted each one before the next began." The art pipeline was equally AI-driven: 65 of the game's art files came from 87 calls to the DreamLayer image generator, with zero animation frames — every creature is a procedural puppet on IK rigs. Published to itch.io 2026-10-12, updated 2026-10-20; built for the DreamLayer game jam.
