Window
One Telegram message each morning: the best two hours to go outside in Hyderabad, with the air, heat and rain already checked.
Project intro
Window answers one small daily question for people in Hyderabad: when should I go outside today? Every morning at 05:30 it sends a single Telegram message with the best two-hour window and a nearby spot, like tomorrow 06:00-08:00 at Public Gardens. If you want more, you message the bot /today to repeat it or /why to see the numbers behind it.
Behind that one message is a careful pipeline that runs entirely on the author's laptop for free. It pulls weather and air-quality history, forecasts PM2.5 for the next few hours, scores every hour from 0 to 100 on heat, air, rain, UV and daylight, and then picks the best window. A small local model only chooses the spot and writes the wording, and its output is checked against the facts before anything is sent.
The author built it as a personal tool for one person in one city, and says so plainly: it is meant to be forked, not used as-is everywhere. It is open source, has no GitHub stars yet, and costs nothing to run once set up, with about two minutes per daily run on a laptop.
Honest limits: there is no hosted demo to try in a browser — you run it yourself, and that means setting up a Telegram bot token and chat id, a TabPFN key, and a local model, plus a daily schedule on your own machine. The air-quality numbers come from a forecast model, not from ground sensors, and the author is upfront that the forecast is promising but not conclusive.
