Project intro

Lunar Paper is a self-hosted, low-code platform that bundles 19 applications for planning, design, creative work, data, analytics, automation and content management into a single Docker Compose deployment. The suite covers project planning (projects, task boards, resources, team calendar), processes and data (drag-and-drop forms, automation workflows with human approvals, data hub, dashboards), documents and communication (structured documents, workspaces, charts, slideshow, email builder), and creative tools (asset management, design studio, brand hub, pixel art, AI image generation, audio creator). You create a "Service" to group related work and content, giving the applications shared context — for example, collecting information through a form, processing it through an automation, and reporting on it in a dashboard. What makes it a VibeFix pick is the build story. Author Ben, who spent 15 years working with low-code and content management systems in government, writes that after a couple of restarts and huge scope expansion over two years, "the codebase is fully AI-generated and is approaching 1.5 million lines of application code, excluding dependencies and generated assets." He used "a variety of different AI models" over the two years, and even the per-application documentation is AI-generated (he manually reviewed the self-hosting guide). It is a rare large-scale data point for how far agent-built software can go. Lunar Paper is in public beta as of October 2026: the full platform is free for up to three people with no time limit, most applications support live collaboration with shared account management and permissions, and AI features are optional bring-your-own-provider. Installation is one Docker Compose stack, and the public GitHub repository contains deployment materials and instructions. The author is candid about maturity — so far tested only in his own environments, bugs and security issues may still surface — which is the honest framing you want from a project this ambitious.
