SSBudget
A personal budget tracker, 100% vibe-coded with Claude Code: how much can you spend this month?
Project intro
SSBudget is a personal budget tracker built around one question: "How much can I spend this month?" Instead of obsessing over categories and past spending, you define planned items — fixed expenses, incomes and savings top-ups you expect this period — let category budgets derive variable spend from real bank transactions, and get your remaining free cash until the next paycheck. It also offers 30+ currencies with live exchange rates, passwordless passkey login, full SQLite import/export, a spreadsheet-like editing UI, end-to-end test coverage and even WhatsApp budget notifications to your spouse.
The project is a Scala 3 full-stack build (cats-effect/http4s/tapir/doobie backend, Laminar Scala.js SPA with Bootstrap 5, SQLite + Flyway, WebAuthn passkeys) deployed as a self-hosted Docker container with a fly.io example. It has 11 stars on GitHub, 73 commits, and was last updated on October 12, 2026.
In the developer's own words in the README: "This project was 100% vibe-coded using Claude Code over 8 sessions (~4 days)." The repository includes session logs and the CLAUDE.md context file that guided development.
