DCF Calculator
A DCF valuation you can actually read — interactive, projector-friendly, with bundled models matching their spreadsheets to the cent.
Project intro
Most DCF models live in Excel templates: hundreds of grey cells, tiny fonts, blue-for-input and black-for-formula, with the value per share buried somewhere around row 60. DCF Calculator puts the answers first. Built by Zi Cong Tan, an MS Finance student, it opens with the value per share, the market price, and how far apart they are — then spells out every step from cash flows to terminal value to enterprise value, so a debate about whether a stock is cheap becomes a debate about one number. Only the judgment calls are editable. Reported figures and market prices are locked, so nobody "fixes" the revenue by accident; growth, margins, discount rate and terminal assumptions are the knobs, each with a note on where the number came from. Four models come bundled — Micron, Apple, Amazon and Tesla — built from SEC filings and analyst estimates, matching their source spreadsheets to the cent, and you can import any workbook built on the same template. A bear-case button, a reset button and a sensitivity grid make stress-testing a one-click affair. As the author puts it: the valuation models, assumptions and research are his own; the interface was built with Claude Code. Single-file web app, no install needed, projector-friendly dark/light themes, MIT licensed, actively updated (pushed daily since its 2026-10-14 launch).
