Ephemera
A photorealistic space exploration game in Unreal Engine 5.8 — an Iceland-like ocean planet, jetpack flights and its moon — built with Claude Code.
Project intro
Ephemera is a photorealistic space exploration game built in Unreal Engine 5.8. You walk around Dawnhollow, an Iceland-like ocean planet of moss-covered lava, basalt cliffs and black-sand coves, use your jetpack to get around, and fly out to its moon. For now it is a walking and flying sandbox focused on visuals and atmosphere rather than objectives.
The README opens with the build story: "A photorealistic space exploration game in Unreal Engine 5.8, built with Claude Code." It is a non-commercial fan project inspired by Outer Wilds, with its own worlds, art and code — three releases shipped in two days (v0.6.0 to v0.7.1, 2026-10-17 to 10-18). 10 stars on GitHub. Windows download; there is no web demo, so the demo link points at the repository with its release builds.
