Project intro

Candela is a 100% AI-written, open-source, self-hosted user behavior analytics platform that turns user behavior into decisions. It answers what users do and which behaviors are growing, where users drop off between signup and payment, and whether they return, with event analysis, funnels, retention, cohorts, reusable dashboard cards and alerts, all running on your own server. It is built alongside ClkLog Community Edition, sharing the same Kafka event stream: ClkLog handles collection and basic reports while Candela adds behavioral analytics, collaboration and governance. The architecture runs React through a NestJS API into analytics and management modules, with an independent ingestor consuming Kafka and MySQL, ClickHouse and Redis storing different data. The application ships with 13 interface languages, an optional AI analysis assistant that is off by default, and AGPL-3.0 licensing. The author's README states the application code is 100% AI-written under a Charter-Driven Development workflow, with models from different vendors taking turns on the same repository.
