Project intro

Invoya is a free GST invoice generator for Indian freelancers and small businesses, and it is a real, launched SaaS with paying users. Fill in business and client details and it generates a professional GST-ready PDF invoice in about 30 seconds — GST rates from 0% to 28% with CGST/SGST/IGST split automatically by state. It also solves the awkward freelancer problem of chasing payments: one-click payment reminders in 5 types and 3 tones (friendly, professional, firm), ready to send over WhatsApp or email. The dashboard has KPI cards, overdue detection, search, sort, and list/grid views. The author built the whole product solo — frontend, payments, PDF generation, deployment — using Claude as a co-developer, on React + Vite + Tailwind with Firebase Auth/Firestore, jsPDF, Razorpay and Vercel.
