Fly a rescue helicopter across three war zones: blast the barracks open, pick up the hostages, and get them home safe — the landing is the tense part.
EVAC is a helicopter rescue game you play right in the browser: you fly across desert, jungle, and snow battlefields, blast the barracks open, land beside the door — never right on top of it — and escort the hostages all the way home. The tense part is not the shooting, it is the landing: jets, tanks, anti-aircraft guns, and homing air mines are all gunning for you, and landing even slightly off ruins the run. It supports keyboard play and twin-stick touch controls on phones, and installs as a PWA on your home screen. The free web version is playable now, and the full source code is sold separately on itch.io: about 37,000 lines of plain JavaScript and three.js, with no build step needed to run it. The models, effects, and sounds are all generated by code, so there are no third-party licensing headaches. One thing to be clear about: this is a finished game, not a half-done demo — but the source code is paid, so do not confuse the free version with the source package.
