Agent Office 3D

A 3D office with 129 stars where your AI coding assistants go to work — and sneak off for coffee, pet the cat, or play Minecraft when idle.

Agent Office 3D turns your AI coding assistants into employees in a low-poly 3D office: who's working, who's idle, and who's stuck waiting for a permission confirmation — all visible at a glance in your browser. The project was created on October 29, 2026 and picked up 129 stars on GitHub in under ten days; it was still being updated on November 1. Every employee has their own desk, with a status light and nameplate showing working, idle, done and waiting, or needs confirmation — when one is stuck on a permission, the nameplate turns red and an exclamation mark pops up over their head. Click an employee to see their recent terminal output, though it's read-only: you can't give orders from here. The office also has a bulletin board, a bookshelf, and a task list: the board holds yearly goals, KPIs, and to-dos you can open full-screen and check off; every book on the shelf is a project folder you can open to read its docs and screenshots; and there's a cat wandering the hallway, strolling, napping, and jumping onto empty desks. The best part is what idle employees do on their own: pour coffee, drink water, hop on the treadmill, stretch, doze off, or sneak in a game. Once Minecraft is connected, idle employees enter the same Minecraft world to mine, chop wood, and build cabins — one bot each, with a first-person view of their bot on their desk screen. You can even join the game yourself as an observer and fly over to watch an employee work. And don't worry, playing games costs no tokens — the bots run on rules and never call any AI model. It's easy to get started: if you just want to look at the office, Node.js 20 or above is enough, and it opens in demo mode, so you can see it working before connecting your own agents. You only need Java 21 if you want employees to play Minecraft, and you have to type yes to accept the Minecraft EULA yourself — the author is clear they won't sign it for you. To connect your real agents, use Herdr mode: the office only reads their status and terminal output and never issues commands for them. One caveat: macOS and Linux are the main platforms; Windows is still experimental, and Minecraft on Windows hasn't been tested.
