Re:哔哩终端

A lightweight Bilibili client that runs smoothly on old phones and watches: no ads, remembers your progress. An unofficial fork with 19 stars.

Re:哔哩终端 is a lightweight Bilibili client for low-end phones, watches and old Android devices — an unofficial fork. After the upstream BiliTerminal project was archived, the author picked it up and kept maintaining it. It is now at version 1.2.9, has 19 stars on GitHub, and new 1.3.0 features landed on November 6, 2026. The README has a dedicated section stating that this fork is a vibe coding product: since 1.0.0, most changes have been generated by an AI coding assistant, with the author handling requirements, review and on-device testing. It does roughly what the original did: browse recommendations, watch videos and live streams, follow series, check updates, read messages and manage favorites. Plenty of old annoyances are fixed: each episode of a series tracks its own progress and syncs across devices; series can switch between seasons, movies and OVAs directly; and there is background playback, vertical short videos, one-tap music from favorites, multi-account switching and in-app update checks. The biggest selling point is how light it is: it installs on Android 4.4, is pure Java, has no ads, and collects no account information. One install package works on phones and watches alike, with round-watch screens specifically adapted so buttons are never cut off. There are thoughtful extras too, like a startup password lock, disguising the icon as a calculator, and skipping series intros and outros. The limits need stating plainly: it only ships a 32-bit build, so it will not install on purely 64-bit phones, and some phones from 2023 onward no longer have a 32-bit runtime at all. It is also an unofficial client with no connection to Bilibili itself, and you sign in with your own Bilibili account. The author warns that the code is AI-generated, so comments and implementation may not match — do not treat it as an engineering example to learn from.
