Fantasy Survivor 51
A father-and-son Survivor fantasy league: snake draft, torch scoring, post-episode scores from Claude, plus a next-episode forecast.
Project intro
Fantasy Survivor 51 is a Survivor fantasy league played by author John Polacek and his son Jack: season 51 of the reality show treated like fantasy sports. Father and son snake-draft their players first, then score each episode on how their players performed, watching whose torches go out first.
The rules are simple: a coin toss decides who picks first, then they take turns; the scoreboard counts how many torches each side still has lit; and before each episode you get one free-agent swap. No accounts, no public leagues, no other seasons — the whole site is just this father-and-son matchup for this one season.
The fun part is that scoring needs no manual watching: after each episode, Claude looks up online what happened — who won challenges, who got voted out, who found an idol — then writes it up as a recap and turns it into points. Edge cases have to be settled in the prompt ahead of time, for example an idol handed to you doesn't count as finding one yourself.
New features arrive fast too: the author just added a Forecast page in the morning, working out each side's predicted total under different ways the next episode could go. The scoreboard now has his son ahead 230 to 215, and the author jokes in his post that he now has a page dedicated to showing how he's losing to his son.
