Project intro

DrawSplat is a free whiteboard in the browser, made for teachers and students: no software to install and no account to buy — open a web page and you can draw, stick images, make concept maps and charts, plus quizzes, rubrics and classroom mini-games, so lesson prep and classroom activities live in one tool.

It is more than one whiteboard: alongside it sit five office apps for writing documents, making tables, slides and checklist databases, plus classroom tools and games, so a teacher can keep everything one lesson needs in the same place, and students can export finished work as PNG, PDF or JSON files to take away.

Privacy is a point it cares about: it works in the browser without handing over student information first; schools that want to run it themselves can use their own server and database to store student work, instead of depending on some big company's account system.

Two things to keep in mind: first, it is the author's side project, built to be good enough for the classroom — not a full replacement for the big commercial whiteboards, and some features will be simpler than paid products; second, the whiteboard page itself is a canvas app, so text-only checks can read very little of it — the live check here rests on the homepage and the whiteboard page title returning normally.
