Project intro

Last Warmth is a warm-hearted survival game: the world is frozen, and you guard one fire while slowly building a village. Click a tree to chop it, click a building to upgrade it; fences become gates and grass beds become tents. Every new building melts a patch of snow around it, so warm ground spreads bit by bit.

Fire is the core of the whole game: the further you are from it, the faster your warmth meter drops, and rain and snow drop it faster still; at zero you freeze. The fire itself needs wood, so you chop by day and feed it at night, and without fire you cannot get through the night. At midnight Frostlings run straight for your fire, and you must hold them off with walls, fire pits and lines of flame; surviving until dawn counts as winning a night.

The villagers are not decoration: strangers walk in from the dark wanting to stay, and when they watch you chop wood, mine and work, they learn the trade and stay to help. The game has no ending and no finish line; your score is simply how many nights you survived. There is also a shared daily night for everyone, and 48 trophies to collect over time.

One warning: the browser demo is free to play, on phones too; the full version costs 1.34 dollars and downloads on Windows and Linux only. The full version has 6 travelers, 3 difficulty levels and endless nights, while the demo has 1 traveler plus 2 unlockable ones and only 1 difficulty. There is no tutorial, but the game lights up one goal at a time and walks you through it, so you will not be lost at the start.
