TinyFolder is a small Mac app that puts app folders in your Dock: pick the apps you use together, style the folder — glass, color, texture, layouts, icons — and pin it. One click pops it open right where you expect it. Author Sergey Filkov, a product designer, is blunt about the build: “I built it with Claude Code. I started in May, sold the first copies from my website in the summer, and got into the Mac App Store in September.” The honest build log is the interesting part. His first version was a 10,500-line React prototype he threw away entirely; in June he started over on Tauri keeping only the design tokens and render rules (“when code is cheap to write, it's also cheap to throw away”). He kept a CLAUDE.md rules file the agent read every session, plus checkpoint files (“68 of 68 test cases passing”), and tuned the folder mascot's blink down to the millisecond (65ms closed, 35ms shut, 130ms open) with one-line notes like “eyes too low”. It is also a real business, not a demo: 297 installs and 32 paying users in the first two weeks on his own site, then the Mac App Store launch in September — now 1,000+ users and 100+ paying.
