Poirot

Poirot is a native macOS companion for Claude Code that lets you browse your past sessions, explore diffs and re-run commands, instead of scrolling back through terminal history. Sessions are organised by project in a sidebar with counts for TODOs, history, commands, skills, plans, memory, hooks, MCP servers, plugins, models and sub-agents, and each session opens as a readable case file: your prompts, the agent's thinking, and the code it wrote, with syntax highlighting.

It is also a practical usage monitor. The dashboard and menu bar carry live subscription rate-limit gauges for the 5-hour and 7-day windows, with utilisation and reset countdowns, reusing the token Claude Code already stores — no login. Analytics, search, commands, skills, MCP servers, models, plugins, output styles and sub-agents all get their own views, and the whole app is under 6 MB.

The author, Leonardo Cardoso, is direct about how it was built. In his dev.to post: "The whole thing was vibe-coded in a weekend using Claude Code itself." The repository README adds: "Poirot was vibe-coded in a weekend. The entire app — architecture, parser, UI, tests — was built in a single creative burst with Claude Code as the co-pilot." It is open source under MIT, and the repository has since moved from LeonardoCardoso/Poirot to a7t-ai/poirot (old links redirect).
