Hollowlight is a survivors x tower defense x twin-stick shooter you play free in your browser. You are the Lamplighter, keeper of the last light in the Hollow. Each day you climb to the Surface to gather, fight roaming monsters and gunmen, and find guns with random etchings that change how their rounds behave. Each night the Hollow floods with monsters through its tunnels, and you hold the line with the towers you built, your powers and your own aim. Build and pair five tower types (Bolt, Mortar, Frost, Arc and Sunfire) into linked networks, survive boss days and the Drowned Deep, and win by lasting 20 nights on Normal, Hard or Nightmare, with an online leaderboard. Your powers fire on their own while you aim and shoot your gun yourself. Best on desktop with mouse or controller, progress saves in the browser, and the author says the game is updated almost daily.
