It Remembers is a stealth maze horror game made for AI Browser Game Jam 5, built around the jam's Torch theme. Go down into the dark with a torch: something down there moves only where your light does not reach, and it remembers you. Find the relic in each maze and carry it back out. Your torch draws a map as it lights the walls, and you keep the map between runs; the thing hunting you keeps what it learned too. Bring out three relics to win. Sneak, hide in crates, relight your torch and throw flares, and watch its eyes: if they turn red, back away. The stalker was designed in conversation and tuned from the author's recorded playtests, with pacing phases, tells before each attack and habits it learns across runs. The author designed, directed and playtested; Claude Code (Opus 5.5) wrote all the code and made the art, music and nearly all the sound in code, over 100 versions in two weeks, each checked by a scripted play test first. Desktop only, keyboard required, headphones recommended. Note: this is a different game from the previously published TorchBearer, Torch: The Black Wedding, Last Torch and other torch-titled jam entries: different author, different game, stealth-maze gameplay rather than a torch-carrying survival or wedding theme.
