项目介绍
h9p3r.fr is a full-text search engine with two separate indexes: one in French (18.2 million documents, 501.5 GB) and one in English (93.8 million documents, 2.1 TB). No ads, no accounts, no cookies, no JavaScript. It is the product of a personal challenge: build a working search engine for about EUR 150. A month later it was live. The French corpus covers French-language web pages including public-service sites (gouv.fr) and local government pages, plus theses.fr, Persée, Gallica, Wikisource and French Wikipedia. The English corpus covers Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, Stack Overflow and the Stack Exchange network, Hacker News and Lobsters. Words are stemmed and results ranked with BM25; a result is a title and a link, no snippet. There is a JSON API (append format=json to a search URL) and an /llms.txt for agents. The build story is the point: everything is Chez Scheme, the ordered key-value storage layer is the author's own design from years of earlier work, and Claude Code wrote most of the code. Total cost was EUR 150: Hetzner compute and storage plus one month of Claude Pro Max x5. A 54ms sample search over 10M+ documents is shown in the screenshots.
