Quadrim
Quadrim is four-in-a-row played in a 4x4x4 cube — the game also known as Qubic: 64 cells, 76 winning lines, most of them invisible until someone uses one on you. Author Edwin Vermeer built it with Claude Code on the €15-a-month Pro plan in 8 working days spread over 4 weeks, and shipped it to the App Store: “The agent wrote the code. I wrote the idea, answered the questions and made the decisions.” The game is unusually complete for a vibe-coded build: 31 computer opponents forming a skill ladder (from one that “barely notices a threat” to one that plays the solved game perfectly, via Oren Patashnik's 1980 Qubic strategy), chess-like player ratings, quests and streaks, pass-and-play, a tutorial that teaches the lines rather than the buttons, and fully offline play. It is free with a daily limit, with two optional purchases (€2.99/year unlimited, €4.99 unlock-all). What makes Quadrim special as a project is the process, not just the game: the repo holds every prompt in order, 48 tickets, 183 commits, ~18,000 lines of Dart plus ~16,000 lines of tests — and a log of 396 numbered decisions that the author calls the most valuable thing he made. Art direction came from Claude Design, with Microsoft Copilot writing the image prompts and ChatGPT generating the opponent portraits.
