Windows gets its own Dynamic Island: media controls, album-glow notch, Bluetooth/VPN popups, AirDrop-style file beaming — vibe-coded from idea to tuning.
项目介绍
Holm (formerly WinNotch) brings the Dynamic Island idea to Windows: a notch at the top of the screen that shows media controls for anything talking to Windows' media stack — Spotify, YouTube in Chrome/Edge, VLC — with cover art, seek bar, shuffle and repeat. The notch washes itself in a blurred copy of the album cover and crossfades when the track changes.
Around that core sit phone-style popups: volume and output-device switching, Bluetooth on/off with paired-device list, VPN status (Windows VPN plus WireGuard, OpenVPN, NordVPN, ProtonVPN and friends), a microphone/camera recording dot, call status for Discord/Teams/Zoom/WhatsApp/Slack, a file "Shelf", screenshot handling with one-click send, a countdown timer, message popups from WhatsApp/Discord/Outlook/Telegram/Signal/Slack, download progress, laptop and headphone battery levels, and Beam — Holm's AirDrop-style file transfer to friends, people nearby, or anyone with a code. There is even a one-click AI button that opens Claude, Gemini or ChatGPT.
The author's README carries a dedicated "Vibe coded" section: "This project began by chatting with Claude (Anthropic's AI) in Claude Code, from the idea to the performance tuning. GPT-6 Astra (OpenAI), through Codex, now works on the project alongside Claude, helping with implementation, code review and testing. The human maintainers guide development and test the app on real machines." Native WPF on .NET 10. 7 stars on GitHub, actively pushed (2026-10-23). Windows only; no web demo, so the demo link points at the repository.
