Kindergarten Arcade is a React single-page app of learning games for kindergartners, dressed in full 8-bit arcade clothing — and built, per its README, "entirely with Claude Code." It ships with two games today. **Word Invaders** has kids hear a high-frequency "heart word," then blast the alien ship carrying it before the fleet lands (a miss tells you what the word you hit actually says, and after two misses the right ship glows as a hint). **Alpha Blast** covers letter recognition and phonics — hear each letter's name and sound, see picture examples, then run all 26 letters with speed bonuses for quick, correct first tries. Speech comes from the Web Speech API, so words are heard, spelled out, and used in context. For parents there's a dashboard that needs no account or server — everything stays in the browser's localStorage — showing "words to work on" and "letters to work on" lists, weighted by how often each was missed or answered slowly across all past sessions, plus full game history. More subjects are on the way, starting with math. It's a small, polished example of AI-built software aimed at the very youngest users.
