项目介绍

Coucou is a tiny companion that lives in your Mac's notch — or at the top of the screen on Windows and Linux — and keeps an eye on your AI coding agent sessions. Its character is Mochi, a soft squircle with big eyes that pops out of the notch, waves hello, follows your cursor, and tells you the moment Claude Code needs you. From the notch you can approve or deny permission requests, answer AskUserQuestion prompts, jump to the exact terminal window of a session, and chat with Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Qwen, Moonshot or a local model.

Since version 0.4 Coucou is also a real Mac app in its own window. Hold a key anywhere, speak, let go, and your words are pasted where you type — free, open source, and offline with NVIDIA's Parakeet running on the Mac's Neural Engine. It also records calls without a bot joining the meeting, then gives you a transcript person by person, a summary, key points and to-dos. Walk away from your Mac and Mochi follows you to your iPhone: Lock Screen Live Activities, Dynamic Island, widgets and Siri, with approvals you can answer from your pocket.

It also carries pills for the services around your work — Stripe payments, n8n workflows, GitHub pull requests and CI status, Vercel deployments, Resend emails, Notion and Cal.com, plus Apple Music and Spotify playback and a weekly recap you can share as an image. The app is private by design: no telemetry, no account, keys in the OS keychain. The author states in the repository credits: "Built by Louis Raillé with Claude Code." Code is MIT; the Coucou name, Mochi and the sounds stay the author's own.
