Felt World
A one-file needle-felted open-world game — drive, walk, fly as a felt bird, or dive as a submarine or sea turtle; all code written by Claude Code (Opus 5.5).
项目介绍
Felt World is an open-world game packed into a single HTML file — a needle-felted, yarn-diorama landscape you can explore four ways: drive a car, walk on foot, transform into a felt bird and fly, or dive into the deep felt sea as a submarine or a sea turtle. Drive into deep water and the car becomes a submarine; drive back onto a shore and it becomes a car again. Collect the felt buttons on the roads and the pearls on the reefs — each completed phrase plays a tune.
The felt look comes from seven small layers: a wool palette, a canvas-drawn fibre texture, a 4-step toon ramp, quilt and knit patterns in the shaders, knitted road textures, running-stitch outlines, and a post-process pass that frays edges into fibres. Landmarks include a windmill, lighthouse, barn, clock tower, bandstand, a giant yarn ball, a shipwreck, and a treasure chest, plus a living deep sea with fish schools, rays, crabs, whales, kelp, and coral.
It is fully vibe-coded. The author's README states, verbatim: "Claude Code with the Opus 5.5 model wrote all the code. There are no image files and no audio files. Every texture is drawn on a canvas element and every sound is made with Web Audio." Every texture is generated on canvas at runtime and every sound — including the in-game "Wool FM" radio — is synthesized with the Web Audio API: zero image files, zero audio files.
The game was built from a sequence of requests in Claude Code, and the README documents each one: "What can be beyond paper and ink but still visually comforting?" led to felt and yarn; an underwater world with two ways to move; phone touch controls; a full physics pass backed by an in-browser test (feltworld/physics-check.js, 150 checks with 9 injected faults). The entire game is 3,231 lines in feltworld/index.html — no build step, no game engine, just three.js loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. MIT-licensed.
