Civitas
A browser multiplayer city builder where every citizen is simulated — commute, jobs, taxes — built with Claude Code.
项目介绍
Civitas is a browser-based multiplayer city builder where every citizen is simulated. Players buy and sell plots, zone districts, lay roads and set tax rates — but the citizens belong to no one: each one commutes, looks for work and pays taxes, so competition and cooperation play out through city planning rather than walls. The client renders in three.js while an authoritative TypeScript simulation server keeps the shared world consistent over WebSocket.
The repository description states it plainly: "Civitas: a browser-based multiplayer city builder in three.js and TypeScript where every citizen is simulated. Built with Claude Code. AGPL-3.0." Development is moving fast — 384 commits, with pushes as recent as the day of writing, covering world landmarks (New York, Cairo, Dubai, Shanghai), a guided tour, spectator mode and an in-world news/media system with helicopters.
5 stars on GitHub, AGPL-3.0. One honest caveat: the live site at civitas.reneo.app is currently a read-only showcase ("look around, follow anyone, take the guided tour") rather than the full playable multiplayer build — it demonstrates the world while the game itself is still being built out in the open.
