Project intro

Vouch is a small neighbourhood help app: when someone needs things, they write it down in their own words — for example, "two bags of rice and a dozen eggs for my child" — and the app turns it into a shopping list; neighbours can claim items on the list, buy them and upload the receipt, and once that is done the request counts as complete, with a proof of completion anyone can check.

What makes it special is "verify first, publish second": requests that have not been verified stay as drafts and never appear on the public list; requests asking for money are held back for a volunteer to look at by hand; and the quantities on a receipt have to match the list — if they are even slightly off, the case goes to a human who writes a public note, rather than being quietly marked complete.

You do not need to register an account to use it: you can open it and see verified requests and claim items; to ask for help yourself, go to the request page, write a sentence, and a private link lets you come back and check progress. The volunteer entrance has a public demo password, so anyone can try the approval flow.

Three things to keep in mind: first, this is only a challenge demo, not a real emergency aid service — do not rely on it for urgent matters; second, the demo site is public and anyone can change it, so example requests may already have been claimed or completed by someone else; third, people on the same network share an hourly submission limit, so you may have to wait when it is busy.
