FinTrack

FinTrack is a money-tracking app one person built with Claude Code in about ten weeks, with Android, iOS and web sharing one codebase and syncing in real time. The author is clear in the README about how it went: he owned the product, wrote the requirements, reviewed the AI's work and tested on a real phone — most of the code was not typed by his own hand. Version 0.1.0 shipped on November 6, and it has no stars on GitHub yet.

The features are serious about bookkeeping: bank, e-wallet, cash and credit accounts, net worth split into assets and debt; every account has its own currency, with totals converted at historical exchange rates; transactions can be split, searched and filtered, with photos attached. Snap a receipt or a payment screenshot and the AI fills the transaction in for you; recurring bills can remind you a day ahead, budgets warn when you overspend, and savings goals grow from real transactions.

The way the author worked is worth noting: requirements and design documents first, then the AI built in phases against them; money is always stored in whole cents, never rounded, the money-handling logic has unit tests, and live sync was checked with two devices side by side. Under the hood it is Expo and TypeScript with Supabase for the database and sync, receipt scanning through Claude's API, and the web version hosted on Vercel.

Two things to be clear about: this repo is only a showcase page and download hub — the source code is not public — and the web version opens on a sign-in page, so you have to register before you can use it. It is also only at v0.1.0 and the author is iterating fast, so before trusting it with real money, try it with small amounts first and make sure sync and balances behave.
