Project intro

Arvre is a small terminal tool for people running lots of Claude Code tasks at the same time. It draws all your sessions and forks as a tree, so you can see at a glance which session branched off from which — no more digging through logs one by one.

The tree comes in two styles (flowchart and compact tree), with filters by directory and by the last 24 hours, plus four color themes. Pick a session and you can resume it right in your terminal with claude --resume, or copy the resume command to paste elsewhere. Installing is one pipx command; you need Python 3.11 or newer, and it works on macOS and Linux.

The author posted it to Hacker News on 2 November 2026, saying he vibe-coded it over a weekend. The repo was created on 31 October 2026 and was still getting fixes on 3 November (version 0.2.1, fixing slow navigation when there are many sessions). It has 2 stars on GitHub.

One thing to know: it only shows you your sessions — it doesn't write code itself. It reads Claude Code's local session data in ~/.claude/projects, a format that was never published, so if Claude Code changes the format, Arvre has to change with it. And if you don't have Claude Code installed, it won't be much use.
